Inexplicable, Incredible India
Amazing, intriguing, compelling, challenging, modernizing, friendly, timeless: all adjectives that can be applied to India. We urge you to put your preconceptions about India aside and enter this old, complex culture with an open mind.
You'll find Indians are warm and hospitable; smiles come quickly. The towns, though rapidly modernizing, are often rundown and traffic is chaotic. But when you come upon the Taj Mahal or the Palace of the Winds in Jaipur or the beautiful palaces of the maharajas, you'll be stunned with their oriental beauty. You'll enjoy, as well, a stroll through a local village or market. Sari-clad women come to say hello and colorfully turbaned men wave and smile.
Signature Journey Highlights:
We stay in first class and deluxe accommodations (so you'll feel comfortable -- that's important in India). Some of our hotels are among the world's best.
- We enhance a good itinerary with visits to a local family and sessions with local experts.
- We include at least two meals each day, often with choice of menu. In most cases you may select between Western and Indian cuisine. We've never encountered tummy troubles.
- Excellent transport including spacious, air-conditioned Volvo buses (except in Udaipur) and flights on top-rated Jet Air.
Photographers find themselves overwhelmed with photo opportunities; shoppers find wonderful bargains on fabrics, jewelry, carpets, crafts, marble-inlays and more.
One good traveler recently wrote that she did not want to go to India because of all the bad things she had heard about it. But she went along because her husband wanted to go. She writes:
"We loved the trip because we stayed in superb accommodations. We can understand why people come back from budget trips with stories that they didn't like India. The images will be with us forever. There is so much to see you cannot click your camera fast enough. We took two thousand photos. We are so glad we went."
